The destroyers purpose in Faust is not quite known. 11 years ago the new faction asked the Sarcha if they could help with the defense of their wall. The Sarchans accepted, since they heard that the forest was sending a wave a treants and gryphons against them. The destroyers did their share in repelling the winged creatures in a matter of minutes and then set ablaze the treants, working with the Sarchans’ ballistas . There was a strange pause after the fight, though the battle was finished the the destroyers continued to fire a few rounds after the battle was done. The Sarchans cared little about this, thinking it must be some ritualistic celebration after a fight.

Soon afterwards, the Destroyers moved on to other towns, picking up for followers and leaving teachers to instruct in this new way of fighting amongst the cities they were in. Each time the destroyers went to a town the town soon found them needing the Destroyers help and were grateful for the assistance that they offered.

The destroyers are another faction of spirit warriors. Their philosophies differ greatly than the death dealers. When a death dealer subdues a hallow through combat, his final blow sends them to ‘hell’. When a destroyer final blow lands, the soul is shredded into a thousand pieces and is gone forever. Destroyers do not know a lot about the inner working of the Death Dealers, nor do the Death Dealers know a lot about the Destroyers, though the Destroyers feel that the Death dealers haven’t been doing their job.

The first destroyer was James Quincy. He has gained a sight into the spirit world and soon developed the abilities of the destroyers. The destroyers all carry a shaped bracer. When the destroyers focus his inner spirit they can shape these bracers into weapons. The artificers from cities they visit soon asked to test this power to make sure it was not magic based. They soon discovered that it was not. (These weapons shoot devastating bolts of energy against hollows)
