Summary
Jola, Kaia, Oshairana and Xavier meet as they are travelling in a caravan towards Friestadt.
Jola: On her way to Freistadt she, along with 5 members of her Lycadran army unit including Lagos Verrus, have been hired to help guard a merchant caravan making its way from Campaneia to Freistadt. The pay is small but it includes transport, food, and shelter.
Kaia: On her way to Freistadt after completing the last parts of her initiation – wandering through the Five Kingdoms for 3 months - to be fully ordained as a cleric of Glit. She is traveling with some merchants who work for her family who are part of a larger caravan traveling from Campaneia to Freistadt.
Oshairana: On her way to Freistadt to be granted her journeyman status within the Harpers. Cartimindua has gotten her passage with a journeyman Harper named Almeida who makes his living primarily as a book merchant. His cart is part of a larger caravan traveling from Campaneia to Freistadt.
Xavier: On his way to Freistadt after finishing his probationary period with the Hounds so he can become a full member. He is supposed to meet up with Juntz and another probationary member at a small town about 3 days outside of Freistadt called Goatswood. He has booked room space in a wagon that belongs to an Agathan merchant that is traveling as part of a larger caravan from Campaneia to Freistadt.
The caravan is attacked by bandits rigding Red Legion horses, and led by a Tchok archer, who seemed to be searching for something. The characters manage to escape with assistance from Almeida.
