Charos (695-) is the hengi of the Gongai lineage and in that role, serves as the hereditary caretaker of Degh Ekorre, the great natural stone wonder of the Pardopasu. As guardian of a major pilgrimage site, the Gongai derive income from donations and from the support of the noble lineages, but especially the Dendorfi, to whom they are allied. Charos has reasonably good relations with Nemnosti despite his patron Rosem's animosity towards Her, and his children and grandchildren have frequently been acolytes at the ulajeta.
