Carlin Havelock is the great-aunt of Edris Poldark and master in the Guild of Free Mages. Older than her appearance would lead one to believe due to the Stilling, she is well respected member of the Guild. Despite this, she has never attained the title of High Wizard. Carlin chooses not to play the politics within the guild, focusing more on her studies and what she feels are “important priorities”.
