Aibil (704-), known as Headwind, is a senior Hand at the major temple in Onighus, where she oversees the training of young Hands from the city and throughout much of Khutu. Coming into her late middle years, Aibil is well-connected politically within the Hand throughout the former Empire, as well as being the author of several books on theology and heresy. She was married once and has a daughter from that relationship, but has been a Hand now for over thirty years.
